MatIQ was built by a coach. We collect the minimum needed to deliver the service, we never sell your data, and every program's information is isolated from every other program's. Recruiting call audio is never stored. Clear State conversation content is never retained by MatIQ and is never visible to coaches.
MatIQ is an operating system for college athletic programs and athletes, operated in the United States by an active collegiate wrestling coach. Questions about this policy go to info@joinmatiq.com.
When you book a call or your account is created, we collect your name, email address, phone number, school, and program information.
Your recruit pipeline, athlete roster, call reports, and program data live in an Airtable base isolated to your program alone.
Recruiting call audio is never stored. When you upload a call recording, it is held in server memory, sent for transcription, and discarded when the request completes. It is never written to disk, never saved to a storage service, and never retained. Only the resulting text transcript and the coaching report persist in your isolated environment.
We collect your name, email address, and sport to create your account and deliver access.
Conversation content is not retained by MatIQ. Your messages are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate a response and are not written to our database. Recent messages in an active session are held temporarily to maintain context and are not stored afterward. Anthropic processes these messages under commercial terms that prohibit using them for model training, and deletes them from its systems within 30 days.
What your coach can see. If you were enrolled by a college program, your coach sees how many times you have checked in, the date you last checked in, and whether a crisis flag has been triggered. Your coach never sees what you wrote.
Crisis flags. If the system identifies content suggesting a crisis, it provides the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline and sends a notification to your coach for program enrollments, or to the account holder for individual signups, along with a notification to the founder. The notification includes your name and the time. It does not include what you wrote.
The free list at recruit.joinmatiq.com does not collect personal information. You select a sport, a weight class, and a graduation year from dropdown menus. We store those three values with a randomly generated identifier and no name, email address, or contact information of any kind.
If you choose to save programs to a list, that selection is stored against the same anonymous identifier.
We do not share this information with anyone, because there is nothing identifying to share. Coach contact details shown on the list are published by the programs themselves on their public athletics staff directories. Any outreach you send goes from your own email account, in your name, directly to that program. MatIQ is not a party to it.
If your program submits open weight classes to the MatIQ program needs list, we display your program name, division, conference, state, head coach name, and the contact method you chose, either your published staff-directory email address or your recruiting questionnaire link. You can have your program removed from the list at any time by emailing info@joinmatiq.com.
If you purchase this service, we collect the wrestler's name, graduation year, film link, and the contact information provided at checkout. This is used to deliver the service and nothing else. Payment is handled by Stripe and we never see or store card details.
When your institution provides you access, we collect your name, email address, program, and role.
We do not record calls and we do not store audio. You provide a written transcript or typed notes.
The transcript is not retained. It is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate your feedback and is then discarded. It is not written to our database, not saved to a file, and not kept in a log. Anthropic processes it under commercial terms that prohibit using it for model training and deletes it from its systems within 30 days.
What we keep is the written feedback, your discovery score, the date, and what you were assigned to work on.
What your head coach can see. If your institution designated one, they see whether you have used the service, your score over time, what you are working on, and what has improved. They do not see your transcripts and they do not see your written feedback.
What your athletic department sees. An aggregate summary across participating coaches. Individual scores are not attributed to named coaches in any institutional report.
Recruits mentioned on a call. A recruiting call is a conversation about a prospective student athlete, and that person is not a MatIQ user and has not agreed to anything. Because the transcript is discarded after processing, no information about a recruit is retained by MatIQ. Feedback text may reference what was said on the call. Coaches should treat that feedback with the same care they would treat any recruiting note.
How long we keep it. Feedback and scores are kept while your institution's access is active. When access ends, records are deleted within 60 days on request, or retained in aggregate form with names removed.
We use service providers to run MatIQ, including cloud hosting, database storage, payment processing through Stripe, and email delivery. AI processing is handled by Anthropic under commercial terms that prohibit using your information for model training. None of these providers receive your information for advertising or marketing.
Only to deliver MatIQ services. We do not sell personal data. We do not share it with other programs. We do not use it for advertising or for targeted advertising of any kind.
MatIQ is not intended for anyone under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, contact info@joinmatiq.com and we will delete it.
Clear State purchased directly is for adults 18 and over.
Clear State enrolled through a college program is for enrolled collegiate student-athletes.
The free program needs list collects no personal information and is open to anyone 13 and over.
Every program runs in its own Airtable base with its own automation workflows. Coaches log in through their own authenticated session and see only their own data. Coaches log in through their own authenticated session and can only reach their own program's data.
The founder has infrastructure access for support and maintenance. Clear State conversation content is not accessible to anyone, including the founder, because it is not stored.
Clear State is not a school system and is not administered by your institution. Athletes use it voluntarily on their own devices. Clear State conversations are private communications initiated by the athlete and are not education records under FERPA.
Clear State by MatIQ is a mindset performance tool for competitive athletes. It is not therapy, counseling, medical advice, psychiatric treatment, diagnosis, or a substitute for care from a licensed professional. It is not a crisis service and it is not monitored by a human in real time.
If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, contact the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988, or go to your nearest emergency room.
Account information is kept while your account is active. On closure or a deletion request, personal information is removed within 30 days.
